  It was probably meant for elders only. ( spanking) Not a word here, they just dropped it all without any explanation.

  Wife would chose which to join depending on whether it was bro. slow, boring, repetitive, dull, or rarely lively who was scheduled.

  so yesterday while i was doing some work for a customer, i noticed the wt mags on the sofa.

  and i asked the elderly man if he was a jehovah witness?.

  he said that he and his wife and all his children were raised in the religion, but only he and his wife attend the meetings or zoom.

  Many of us old ones have our course set we cannot not move to the country, travel, buy a new car, get a girlfriend if wife dies.

  Right now I can send some clumsy letters, make minimum donations to the congregation ( never the borg), and keep wife from too much distress. She says I dont act like I believe. If only she knew. We have 2 real friends, the rest are acquaintances and that is still colored by religion. She worries about the kids not being gung ho. Some comments lead me to know they have read here at some time. HI

  If I won the lottery we would still be old and crippled.

  Guess who shoveled my walk, brought iover a snack, helped me move a couch, ? Neighbors. Not even a phone call from the " leaders". BUT, they send a monitor every time there is an operation that could lead to bleeding

  i have been giving a lot of thought to the young people who are leaving the watchtower organization in recent years.

  last night, i was reading the thread posted by jwfacts a while back in which he provided some statistics and graphs showing the rapidly declining growth in the watchtower.

  one factor that was discussed at length was the high number of young people who do not stay in the organization.

  There is no meat to the message. Constant harping on no education or getting g ahead. Lack of suitable marriage mates (even for boys)

  Seeing the one way money path.

  The buffoons being put front and center on broadcasts.

  Watching grandma/pa and parents get old and die penniless.

  What is the youngest a child has been baptised as a JW?

  the youngest reference i have come across is in the 1992 watchtower (march 1st page 27) - “in the summer of 1946, i was baptized at the international convention in cleveland, ohio.

  although i was only six years of age…”.

  i would like to find more examples of this, particularly of examples in more recent times.

  Couple years ago I was introduced to some little kid who just got dunked. Im guessing 7 or 8. Really took me aback.

  This year I hear prideful comments about a 9 yo.

  Every one I know of has been a snot.

  A lot of them end up out once hair starts growing down there

  One explanation is the water canopy or "gloom"or whatever kept the sun from being distinct then became clear in day 4

  There the things like the bristle cone predating the flood that slipped through.

  They still hold to Adams creation at ? 4026 or whatever. I didn't look it up

  jehovah's witnesses were raped and tortured by the thousands in malawi because they obeyed the watchtower society's rules, and they broke caesar's law and refused to purchase a political card in a country that only had one polictical party.

  now (since 1999), jehovah's witnesses are allowed to vote in political elections!

  i would love to hear everyone's comments.

  here in the uk, we've had a recent missing persons case which has turned into a potential murder inquiry.. sarah everard (33), disappeared on wed 3 march in london.

  human remains were subsequently found in a wood near ashford, kent, and a met police officer has been arrested on suspicion of murder.. horrible events, and the issue of women feeling unsafe on the streets certainly needs discussing.. but surely not what baroness jones suggested: tabling an amendment for a 6pm curfew for all men.

  wtf???.
